To maintain good chi in your home, consider the following interior decorating tips.

Include Color in the Room
When decorating with feng shui, there are certain colors that are recommended to promote good energy in the room. Each color stands for a different thing. Red, for instance, represents good luck, which is why most people will include red in their feng shui design. If you want a fresh and peaceful look, decorate with green. For bad chi situations, there are such things as the 5-element pagoda, 7-metals ringing bell, wind chimes, lights, faceted crystals, protective guardians, and yang water features. To attract good chi, there are money toads, lights, crystals, yang water features, wealth pots, wu lou, and various deities in statues and photos. What works varies with the problem and the desires. The whole idea is to decrease the inauspicious energies and increase the auspicious ones. Kuan Kung is known by many names. He is also referred to as Kwan Ti, Kuan Yu, Kwan Kong, Guan Yu, Guan Gong, and Guan Gung. Besides being called the Protector of the Realm he is also referred to as the Master of Knowledge, Guardian of Business, God of Wealth and God of War. He is considered one of the greatest Generals in the history of China and is still an extremely popular Deity throughout East Asia. He is also very popular as a figure in Feng Shui.

Kuan Kung the Protector of the Realm fled his home town at the age of twenty three after he killed a local by the name of Lu Xiong. It was five years later that he would meet up with Liu Bei. Bei was recruiting an army and Kuan Kung joined up along with Zhang Fei and began his illustrious career in the Chinese Army.

His first action was in helping to put down the Yellow Turbans Rebellion. As a result of their victory Liu Bei was given a position as Governor and Kuan Kung and Zhang Fei became officers in the Liu Bei Army. Bei, Fei, and Kung were very close and had a friendship often described as brotherly.

Kuan Kung enjoyed many victories and honors as a General. It all came to an end in 219 when his Army came to defeat and he and his son Guan Ping were captured. He was beheaded and his head was sent to Cao Cao who performed a burial with full honors given.

His exploits were of great honor and bravery. His true accomplishments were legendary and as it usually happens the legends of his exploits became even greater as they were embellished through centuries of being reported and glorified.

If he is present in your home he will help you gain prosperity and abundance. He will also protect you from all that is evil. To get the greatest benefits from his protection you want to place him in the northwest corner of your home or business office. Always face him towards your main door so he can ward off any evil that might try to harm you.

You can also wear jewelry with his likeness so that no matter where you are he will help to protect you. This also is true for businessmen, politicians, and leaders as he is known to protect those groups as well.

If you are a business man who wants Kuan Kung to help you get his figure either in a standing position or one with him on horseback. Standing he represents courage and resolve against all odds. On horseback he brings quickness in response to critical situations.
